What did you all think of the video? I wasn’t particularly fond of it and I would prefer that P.R. Brown wouldn’t make anymore of their videos in the future.

It was okay. Nothing that really blew my mind other than trying to figure out who everyone was.

But sometimes I wonder why they make videos at all anymore. It seems MTV and VH1 no longer show videos. Not even in the middle of the night — which is a bummer. Remember Alternative Nation? I *loved* that show.

I found the old lyric sheet for SD and there is a crazy line on Quiet – but it’s a huge file so I’m going to scan it and take it down as much as I can. Also found the original "welcome to the SP Fan Club" from Laura Ann from July 1994 — I saved the return envelope because they used a cool stamp on the back — it’s crazy they were selling t-shirts for $20. Will try to get these scanned and posted soon.

I just got back home, and i’m so relieved.

I have assisted some angiography’s in my probation (?) as Radiology Technologist, and i can tell you that this procedure has a diagnosis part, (when we find out the problem/disease) and a therapeutic part, where the doctor can fix the problem (if it can be fixed by angiography and doesn’t need surgery). And the problem that is has refered to is a very common one.[/quote:uws3vdw6]

That was my thought, too. Plus he was a smoker for a long time. . I didn’t know he had stopped.

My mom had a similar problem and they had to do the same thing he had (angiogram -sp??) but then she had to have a procedure to clear it. all was done through an artery in the groin. I would think he’d be watched closely since it runs in his family. Maybe he’s just going to wait until the end of the tour and then see his normal doctor.

I’m just glad he took it seriously and didn’t wait for anything to get worse.

I’m super relieved — how scary to be in a place you don’t know when you get ill.

He did shave his head, everytime he appeared with Billy he was bald. Have you ever seen the "graceful swans of never" or "full circle" doc? Check yotube for them. Billy once posted the link to his brother’s site when he use to blog (the baby blue site) and there was a picture of him there (and some cool airbrush work). According to the confessions, his mom is the baby sitting on the moon; there is another one that could also be his mom, to me that kid kind of looks like Billy.

Wow, those are great photos. I recognized them immediately but I had never put them together as his mom. Now it makes perfect sense. Especially if you remember in his blog days about how he and his wife the day after their wedding were putting the cover art for Siamese Dream together – and mentioned something about using old photos of family & friends.

Thanks, Shampoo — Yes, it was in early 1997. The photo you sent blows my mind. His dad does look like him. I wonder if he shaved his head? He had a headfull of it back in ’97 and was sporting a shiny running suit. This picture is brilliant.

Where can I find the picture of his mom? That’s so cool. .

What about his brothers? I’ve never seen photos of them either.

Speaking of BC getting old, have you ever seen his father? A long time ago, he was a guest on this really dumb show "The Regis and Kathy Lee Show" (it’s now called something else). Anyway, he was on there and talked all about his girlfriend, who you saw get out of the limo w/ him and clearly it was Yelena. But even more interesting, he had his dad in the audience. His dad looked *nothing* like him and was wearing one of those shiny running suits that you see a lot of older folk wearing. If I can get my uncle to get my VCR stuff into CDs I will post the clip. I think it was from 1994, if I am remembering it right.

My point – I don’t think he gets his looks from his dad. Never seen a photo of his mother or of his siblings.

Doesn’t matter – to me he’ll be gorgeous even when he’s 100.

I really don’t know much, I use to know a little since I use to be friends with people who knew the band, I really had no ins with the band personally. This was all back in the zwan days. I knew the gossip about zwan, but it’s been three years and I really don’t know anything now, I’ve lost touch with a couple of people, one of them who is good friends with strawberry.

When I knew fysche, she was a really sweet person, so I could see why band members were interested in her and became friends with her. She was a tad "off" too, did weird things. She is smart too, you can hold an intellegent conversation with her, but I did spend time with her at concerts and even outside of zwan/sp. I haven’t talked to her in a long time (about 3-4 years), I really wasn’t best friends with her, so I didn’t know her too well. Even if I did keep some sort of friendship with her to this day, she probably would feed me this same wedding story as she is doing with everybody else.

Well, sounds like you know a lot more than the rest of us–which I’m grateful to hear about, so thank you! I knew she was friends w/ Strawberry. I really was not all that into Zwan so I didn’t pay a lot of attention to it.

From what you say she probably is a nice person but clearly has some real issues. I honestly think she believes all of this. Which is pretty scary.

I just finally took a look at her video on her page and it is horrible. Some of the worst acting. And she feels the need to show skin for some reason.

I’m just happy to hear it straight from Billy’s mouth. Maybe that is why he has said nothing about it – he might very well feel sorry for her and not think she’s a threat in any way, which she probably is not in a physical sense. Plus, he probably has had many VGs in his life. .

So I posted a comment to Veronica Grey’s myspace site, citing the clip that YESH gave us. Of course, she can filter out comments so I assume she will not approve it for viewing. I also sent her an email, so at least she has to open it to get rid of it. She also has discontinued that page for her \"new\" one (w/ the last name of corgan in it) but I draw the line at asking her to be my friend again just for the sake of seeing what she has to lie about daily.

I then logged on to my myspace fan site and sent a bulletin that contained everything I had written to her, along w/ the YouTube clip and the date (showing that he said this *long* after the supposed wedding). So it is my hope that all my friends who have fan sites on myspace are happy to know the truth.

I’m so glad to know for certain she is a fraud. . but I actually feel sorry for her in the sense that I think she has herself convinced this is true.

the nickname is sistercantyouspell and actually, after checking it, i saw that is really her, because she already got an avatar with her name and the link to her livejournal (the one that i refered). she also had a portuguese fan on her friends list and a comment on her that is another lie. i will explain.

she talks about her and billy being in portugal for some days (the concert at Oeiras Alive festival was at 9th june), and she says that in that particular night it was St. Anthony’s Feast Day (actually the day is 13th but we celebrate in the night of 12th of course ). If you check the tour dates, SP were preforming in Madrid that night…….

LOL, James is crazy…I love it. Although I do like the new pumpkins sometimes I miss James and D’arcy (more so James though). I love reading/hearing old stories about the band. I loved reading the confession entries about the band and their recording process. It was interesting to know how they interacted with each other when creating their music. Thanks again.

As for him having to choose, I wonder if it really was that big of a deal. Although every relationship is different, couples like Bono and Ali have a very healthy and long lasting relationship even though Ali shuns the spotlight. I know it’s never this simple but I think if you both truly fight for things that you really want then somehow things will eventually work themselves out. Yeah, I think in the early days James (and all of them) were less jaded. Everyone says James was quiet but he was pretty witty everytime I saw them in concert and when I saw them in interviews. I have to say that I think Jimmy looks 1000 times more healthy now and that makes me happy.

I really do not know the true reason for their divorce, just speculation. If you remember his entry on his wedding day it was like he knew it was the wrong thing but not because he didn’t love Chris but because she wasn’t "all there" – he said something like that. I felt sad for him that on his wedding day he felt as if it were a sinking ship.

It’s true, Bono and Ali have been together forever (my second favorite band) and I would say that if it were me, I’d try hard to stay in that relationship but none of us knows how it truly is and I have a feeling that as much as I *love* Billy – he is probably very intense, moody, and needs a lot of alone time. Maybe she couldn’t handle that. I wish they had stayed together. I just feel like that was his true love (he did say Muzzle was written for her). .

No problem — sorry I was so verbose. That has to be one of the best nights of my entire life. Yes, her name is Laura Ann, thanks for remembering that. They were really accessible back then. Siamese Dream didn’t come w/ lyrics so if you sent in a self-addressed envelope she’d send you back a page of typed lyrics. I don’t know if it was a joke or not but the lyrics for "Quiet" had some crazy additions. Some people speculate that the extra words in the lyrics are actually recorded in the background quietly (no pun intended) or it could of been to just mess w/ us. I will look for the lyric sheet, I have it somewhere and it was on purple paper. I know they always joked that there are no lyrics for Gish and that Billy doesn’t even know the words for each song. I also remember them saying how the back up vocals for "Bury Me" were recorded. Apparently they could not figure out good back up lyrics and while they were trying to figure it out, James ate all sorts of candy and (I think) Twinkies. He had a sugar rush and then went in there and babbled some non-intelligible words but they loved it and kept it that way. I have old VCR recordings of many interviews and such but don’t have a VCR anymore.

Yeah, when I read his auto-bio about his wedding I felt very sad for him (and her). She was his rock for a long time and it seems that he almost had to choose. Actually his entire life story that he posted was sad and it explained a lot of his angry "angst" that was so popular with the grunge sound.

I’ve only seen 1 picture of Chris ever and I’m sure it’s the one everyone else has seen too – she is standing behind Billy with her arms around him. I just assume she is a very private person.

Does he ever look good!! I’m glad he just gave up the hope of having a full head of hair and shaved it all off before he went bald. He was very cute with his curly hair way back in the day but I love his bald head. I’m in my late 30’s and I guess he doesn’t seem old to me, but I do remember being in my 20’s and thinking that 40 was over the hill.

I think that when you get to do what you love, it doesn’t matter how old you are – you will find the energy. He seems to be a perfectionist and I would bet that he has insomnia, just guessing but from lots of interviews and such I think he loves his work.

I would think fame is a hard thing to deal with but he’s handled it well and anyone who gets to spend their life making a living by living their dream is lucky– and I feel lucky that he’s shared it with all of us.
