I’m going to recommend my mates one-man-band project.

Arthur, you’re into post-rock – this is kinda post-rocky, you might like it. Lord knows I do. Normally, a friend’s band is always that – a friend’s band. It’s always kinda hard to like their music. But fuuuuck this is good.

Gerard Way was also at the Scream awards.

    Plume [5]
    Pissant [9]
    Hello Kitty Kat [16] +
    Obscured [3]
    Starla [18]
    Blue [7]
    Girl Named Sandoz [8] –
    La Dolly Vita [4]

Why don’t I contribute to these elimination threads more? Meh. GNS is too over-rated. It annoys me.

McCain totally spoke about not caring about a "washed up terrorist", but the very next day was out on the campaign trail saying the complete opposite.[/quote:107pck1k]
He has flip-flopped on a LOT of issues. I think I saw a load of clips compiled onto a youtube vid, but can’t be bothered to dig it up.

There’s a familiarity and sense of camaraderie among one another.[/quote:1h0opvwd]
Whilst this sounds kinda corny – said for the sake of sounding deep and insightful, making us sound better than we actually are, fuck if it isn’t true.

Twice i’ve had some random guy (one guy serving me at Subway, and another guy at a restaurant) start chatting to me because I was wearing an SP shirt. It was awesome both times. The only other time I’ve had a reaction like this when I was high-fived by a stranger at the Reading Festival cuz I was wearing a Cradle Of Filth t-shirt.

Haha, just glad I could help.

in reply to: 20th Anniversary Contest: Highlights! #25883

I’m glad I didn’t spend time doing this now. I would have stood absolutely no chance!

Ah, look at all the newbies emerging from the woodwork. You’d better stick around, fuckers.

in reply to: Whats For Dinner? #25564

Mmm, food. I’m hungry, but it’s too late to get food. OH WELL.

I really like Italian food, providing it’s not too cheesy. Like Spaghetti Bolegnaise (sp?) and Pizza.

Speaking about Pizza, is anybody else annoyed that Pizza Hut is rebranding in the UK as Pasta Hut?

    I know I’m annoyed.

I’m really getting excited about the Kill Hannah show i’m going to on the 29th. Fuck yeah, it’s gonna be awesome.

    RROD?

We had 2 ps2 and they both fried out.[/quote:31wx654m]

Yeah, that was a common problem – after ~3 years, the laser gave up.

    I haven’t entered at all.

    Ha-HA!

    in reply to: 1st Pres..debate #24648

well that is dumb. they should have those. it lets people actually ask the questions they want answers to.[/quote:119k7d18]

Doesn’t mean they’ll actually get the answers they wanted. Or to the question they asked. Or any question asked, actually.

Sarah Palin, I’m looking at you!

in reply to: Post your thoughts #10854

I sooo don’t watch movies hardly anymore-which movie is that..I might have seen bits and pieces, but I do know I’ve at least heard of it[/quote:3ahozvd2]

It’s the film where there is a kid with emotional/mental problems, who apparently hallucinates a man in a creepy bunny rabbit suit who tells him the world will end in a month and that time travel is possible?

    It’s very weird.

in reply to: Post your thoughts #10847

    I just watched ‘Donnie Darko’.

    Holy shit. It was awesome.

    in reply to: 1st Pres..debate #24637

    See the last 8 years.[/quote:3u23qyzf]

    True.

Except that Bush isn’t a creationist. And his uncle was also president (right?). At least he had those running for him.

    PALIN HAS NOTHING.

    NOTHING!

    in reply to: 1st Pres..debate #24632

well if she is an advocate what the hell happened to her daughter getting knocked up at an early age?[/quote:2apmt9dh]

Welcome to the soap opera that is the Republican part this election.

So Billy Corgan apparently now has a double chin.

    You live and learn.

in reply to: Post your thoughts #10836

can’t you dispute it with the company? I would at least try[/quote:2ynd3pjr]

Nah. Thousands of codes were issued, they aren’t just gonna change it for one person.

Besides, it was for the US gamers. European gamers weren’t meant to enter this one.

AND the beta ends in less than a week. It’s not worth it.

Hell, if somebody here wants it, I might just PM it to them. Shame to let it go to waste.

Just if I do, don’t tell me about it. AT ALL. I’ll feel very remorseful and stuff.

    in reply to: 1st Pres..debate #24629

Ok, a bit late for the abortion topic, but oh well.

Even if you’re ‘pro-life’, Palin’s views on abortion are horrifically anti-women.

She is an advocate of refusing abortion in all cases – including in the event of rape and incest. The woman will have to raise that child.

    How can anybody support that?

Also, I wouldn’t be surprised (and I think she actually does) if she is an advocate of abstinence only Sex-ed. There has been research that kids who are ‘taught’ that are just as likely to have sex before marriage as those who aren’t. You might as well teach them to put a bit of rubber in between, ffs! It would reduce abortions!

Also, she believes that the earth was created 6000 years ago and that we co-existed with dinosaurs.

    WHAT.

    THE.

    FUCK.

And the scary part is? McCain probably only has a few years left in him.

THIS ABSOLUTE FUCKING MORON COULD BECOME LEADER OF THE MOST POWERFUL COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!

    FUUUUUUUCK

I don’t care if you think Obama sucks. Just don’t vote Republican. PLEASE.

in reply to: Post your thoughts #10834

why do they do stupid shit like that???
as if only people in the US would use that code thing you won..[/quote:co3t3jdh]

It was a US website, running a competition for the US. European beta keys had been given out previously. I guess I just missed my chance to get a USEFUL code.

in reply to: Gamers Unite! #19767

Like, I COULD try beat my top score on GH or I could try and learn to play a real guitar.[/quote:3rxru0ud]

GH is a game. It doesn’t try to be like real guitar playing. Saying something like that is like saying "I could beat my fastest lap on Gran Turismo, or I could actually learn to drive" or "I could complete the game on hard on Tekken, or I could actually learn martial arts". It’s like that. If you understand…

in reply to: Post your thoughts #10829

i’m not sure what that is, but CONGRATS :D anyway.[/quote:3tro3bpk]

    Yeah, thanks.

Shame the code only works on US PS3 accounts…

in reply to: Post your thoughts #10827

FUCK YEAH I JUST WON A LITTLEBIGPLANET BETA INVITE!!!

The only annoying thing is it won’t recognize the code on my PS3

in reply to: Our own chat room #18820

The java applet isn’t working for me either, so I’m using Chatzilla instead (an irc client add-on for Firefox).

Apparently I’m the only one on there?[/quote:3ftghylr]

You are probably behind a firewall? Try to quit the firewall and see if the chat program works.[/quote:3ftghylr]

Meh. I am. but I can’t be bothered to do it, as I can access the chatroom with my IRC client.
