Aphex Twin. He makes fantastic electronic music – I recommend checking him out even if you’re not a fan of electronic stuff, and if you think it’s all ‘untz-untz-untz-tsch-untz-untz-untz-tsch-untz-untz…’. It’s nothing like that. It’s actual music he makes.

It does depend on the person as to what magnitude their finite loss is – it can be small, or large – but is measurable, and is still a loss.

Nevertheless, worship does require at least some investment in time which could have been used another way. Something as simple as getting up when you want to on a sunday, instead of going to church, for example.

That is one of the flaws – that the God Pascal says to believe in doesn’t know you are believing just to gain any potential benefits, and that belief is the only requirement to be rewarded with heaven. And I believe that if the Christian god exists as is commonly depicted (Benevolent, omniscient etc.) he wouldn’t punsih based on whether they believed or not.

Pascal’s Wager is basically the "believe in a god, lose nothing or gain everything" argument. The 4 steps are the logical steps involved in Pascal’s Wager. It is an argument frequently used as to why having faith is better than atheism. My post is a criticism of it, essentially. My post is just a criticism of a philosophical argument, that’s all.
The person who created it was a Christian, so the argument is biased towards the idea of a Christian God. To be honest, I’m not entirely sure what you’re saying in your comment though…

Go listen to their album ‘The Downward Spiral’. Generally regarded as their best, and rightfully so. The album is so fucked up on so many levels. Read up about it on Wikipedia.

Ghosts definitely. I honestly think it’s brilliant.
I actually thought The Slip was a little boring. Didn’t have many stand out moments. (You could probably say the same for Ghosts, but Ghosts isn’t really an album in the same sense as The Slip is, if you follow)

When you make the upgrade to Bluray, you should opt for a PS3. Because then you’ll have a pretty damn good media hub, as well as a BR player and a games console!
Also, get Super Smash Brothers Brawl for the Wii. The SSB games are always good fun. We used to have a Gamecube in our common room at school, and SSB Melee was nearly always playing. It was so fun, and at times ludicrous. Such as me beating someone so much better than me whilst I was playing as Princess Peach for the first time. And the cries of ‘FAAAALCOOOOOOOOON PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNCH!!!‘

If you don’t smile when you first play it, then you are a horrible person.
