ArthurSpectatori already ordered the australian version.
haven’t seen the japanese version, but then i haven’t really looked for it, since i didn’t know it existed.i assume the german release is the eu release?[/quote:2c7csjeh]
Yeah I guess so. By the way, here is another UK promo of American Gothic.
ArthurSpectatorSome more info from the SPIFC newsletter I received today.
\"Hello SPIFC members! Here’s the SPIFC’s February 2008 newsletter:
NEW \"AMERICAN GOTHIC EP\" TO HAVE A PHYSICAL CD RELEASE
As mentioned in the previous newsletter, the Pumpkins released a 4 track EP via iTunes in North America called \"America Gothic\" on January 2nd, 2008. There has been much talk about an eventual release of the EP on CD in countries outside of the US, as iTunes was supposed be the \"exclusive retailer\" of the EP in the USA. Well now it appears that there is going to be a physical release in many countries in the USA and Canada after all.
The following is a list of released dates in several countries. You can pre-order the CD in these countries on their respective Amazon pages. This is likely not an exhaustive list, so please let us know if you have discovered release dates for other countries:
UK – February 11
US – February 12
Japan – February 12
Germany – February 15
Australia – March 1
Canada – March 4It is unclear whether or not the worldwide release dates of the CD will have coincide with with a release on iTunes in some countries. However, Ozphoria, the Australian SP Fan site, has confirmed with Warner Music that March 1 is the release date in that country will coincide with a corresponding iTunes release. The reason for the delay in releasing the EP in Australia is reportedly due to the fact that Warner wants to have it released closer to the Pumpkins Australian tour. As for the late release date in Canada, this has gone unexplained, and does not make much sense considering \"American Gothic\" was released in Canada and the US on iTunes at the same time. There are no Canadian tour dates in the near future to explain this.
A reminder of iTunes info \"American Gothic\" for the USA and Canada:
Currently the 4 tracks are being sold separately on iTunes
The Rose March
Again, Again, Again (The Crux)
Pox
SunkissedThe American Gothic EP is also being sold as part of a deluxe iTunes release that for a includes the 4 American Gothic tracks, the full album of ZEITGEIST and both music videos (Tarantula & That’s The Way).
Curiously, there is no separate American Gothic EP listing on iTunes, but SmashingPumpkins.com has made a hi-resolution copy of the cover art available for download at their website, You can find the cover art for American Gothic, here:
ArthurSpectatori know i dont post much, but im extremely busy

No problem Lara, get back to us when you are available again!
ArthurSpectatorThanks Bryan, so good to have friends all over the place! Let’s wait for your confirmation on the EP being genuine Australian (sold in New Zealand), and I will give it a shot for my collection of course. Maybe Australia/New Zealand will have a promo copy also?
In the meantime I found 2 other promo releases for American Gothic:

ArthurSpectator🙄 what do you think of it ?[/quote:3bbta32p]
I love it. Weird song, weird clip.
ArthurSpectatorGuys! Ripping and circulating the audio is very very wrong![/quote:ql4f1f96]
Yes it is. Somebody must be a real lowlife to do such awful thing. Thanks for reminding us Superlordspamulon.
ArthurSpectatorwow, that gigantic siyl poster is really cool.

ArthurSpectatorCheck out, http://www.sanity.com.au/product/produc … ku=2105459 & http://www.ozphoria.com/index.php
, for the release details of the Australian pressing of American Gothic. Hopefully this is Australian pressed, the stock code listed is the same as the EU release though.

Thanks for this news Bryan! Do you happen to be from Down Under, which might make it easy for you to check in the shops soon? And then maybe maybe maybe help us worldwide order it somewhere in Australia (or is that address you provided already your online source of choice maybe)?
ArthurSpectatorFirm echo after bump…
hi!
ArthurSpectatorNice! Something to look forward to!
A few days ago I listened to the live-version in the Brabanthallen, and for some reason I like that song. It stands out!
ArthurSpectatorI wanted to throw a SPfreaks shirt on stage, but completely forgot about it… ahem…
[/quote:1t8w5rze]
Getting a bit needy for attention, are we?[/quote:1t8w5rze]
…..…..
ArthurSpectatordo you really need the flash when making pictures at a concert? i thought all the flash does is making the heads of the people in front of you more clear.[/quote:nxptglng]
Sorry, I didn’t make myself clear enough. I wanted the flash to stop working from the first pic I took, but the button to switch it off didn’t work. So I took 2 or 3 pics, got pissed about the flash, and started filming a few pieces instead. Today (first few seconds cut) & Tarantula (complete) and some other piece (incomplete). Nice memory…
As I wasn’t front row, but very close to the PA, I’m almost sure nobody on stage noticed the flash. I wanted to throw a SPfreaks shirt on stage, but completely forgot about it… ahem…
ArthurSpectatorWell, it was good to have been there! They played the same setlist we all know by now (what is the idea behind that anyway?), and Mayonaise was just awesome! Goose bumps! Longest United States I ever heard (15-20 minutes long!?) and that Uriah Heep etc. cover part was awesome too! The sound in Brabanthallen was not that good, too distorted, and overall, the setlist was not that interesting for this grumpy grandpa Arthur. I was not into it all the time, but a pretty good concert anyway. Me and my friend Vincent went home happy! Oh, and I think because they played too long they couldn’t do Cherub Rock in the encore, which is a shame.
We missed the support act, as we had to come from far after our jobs. We heard they were awesome, but well, we came for the Pumpkins anyway.
I met a lot of good friends there (some I didn’t know they would appear!) and it was fun times. Wanted to buy some merch, but it ended up sold out at the end of the concert. Took the American Gothic EP with me, meanwhile winning an UK promo on eBay I just found out hiha! (though some bramgh (wtf?) tried to make the price skyhigh, but he didn’t succeed nya nya nya
)
I took some pics and movies, but the flash wouldn’t go off for some silly reason, so the pics might turn out crap. I will check that tonight, I have to run now! See ya!
ArthurSpectatorBefore I even could consider that (as if I’m not too busy already
) it is closed already.
Almost 300 persons applied for the jobs. No chance anyway.

ArthurSpectatorMeanwhile I had my little troubles with this seller. This is my latest email to that guy.
\"Dear his-masters-dog-music,
I’m very sorry to see you are making a big mess of this auction. First you end it early for an unknown reason, then you get pissed because I’m saying something about it, then you offer it to me anyway as a second chance auction, and then you withdraw the second chance offer also. I offer humble apologizes, but getting a reply to that: no. Weird person you are, not a friendly seller if you ask me. Good luck with your other auctions his-masters-dog-music, but I hope we never run into each other again. You are not a trustworthy seller at all, and you are not able to communicate in a proper way. I’m very sorry to see all that in 1 person.\"
It feels good to be pissed sometimes.
ArthurSpectatorSo sad to know that !
On the other hand i’m pleased that you are ok, and that you have planed a funeral, that would be remembered in a good way by the people that was there. A beautiful atitude of you.[/quote:s9a1rwao]
Yeah thanks, I get a lot of positive phonecalls now, and some emails too. It was a beautiful thing to do, and it brings a lot of understanding in the family. Pretty cool. Thanks Pipoka!
ArthurSpectatorSending you a big hug.[/quote:341jcpny]
Thanks. Exactly what I need Return To Comfort. In words I can say a lot about it, but in the end it’s all covered by a hug from your friends, when there are no words anymore. Thanks for your support!
ArthurSpectatorYou take care of yourself, and if you ever need someone to shoot the shit with, get a hold of me.[/quote:2mdih7m6]
Thanks toad32r. You are very sweet! But I’m fine, really. I almost had no contact with my mum the last few years, as she was living in her own fantasy world, and I was not very proud going there. She lived her smelly life in a dirty house, the docs gave her medicines to keep her quiet and it was almost impossible to talk to her about normal subjects. She was less then a shadow of the lady she was before my birth, if I can believe the stories of my father, and the other family. But I was used to her situation for almost 38 years, though she had better periods also sometimes the first 5-10 years of her illness. Then at last my father decided to divorce her when I was 13 years old. The only thing is, during my whole life I realized I have some kinda handicap, having missed the motherlove. Urgh! These things usually come out of nowhere, but it sounds like you had a least a little time to plan for this?[/quote:2mdih7m6]
I see we got something in common manillascissor. I guess you have a sad story to tell also…But no, not really much time to plan for this. It was very sudden. She was found in her chair in the early Saturday night, the ambulance people figured out she died in the early Saturday morning. The neighbours found her after she didn’t answer a phonecall from my aunt. She asked them to check. I was called in about 45 minutes, but as I couldn’t do anything I only arranged some meetings for the next day, and made lots of phonecalls that same night to have her moved away etc. Very sad, but she died kinda piecefully, with her head on her arm on the table, about to take a cigarette. I couldn’t go there on the spot, as she lives about 200 kms from my city you know…

ArthurSpectatorgod *********** dammit! auction has ended. jesus ************christ!!!
[/quote:2df8ssxd]
This is fucking unfair indeed. I just complained to the seller as being the first bidder, being unable to bid again.2008.02.08 at 8:32 pm in reply to: For the freakin’ country collectors: Zeitgeist CD by country #2596
ArthurSpectatoryou are planning to bid higher, right?[/quote:2as02pjc]
No. Feel free to bid. Thanks for your understanding so far.2008.02.08 at 6:44 pm in reply to: For the freakin’ country collectors: Zeitgeist CD by country #2594
ArthurSpectatorOuch. Outbid.
ArthurSpectatorTry it!
Go to one of their shows, and hang around the stage exit (or w/e the band come out) and just talk to them
[/quote:3pkxbe8s]
Actually I just did something else. I wrote Billy, Jimmy and their media people an email with this idea, to celebrate our 5 Year Anniversary together. I’m expecting nothing, but let’s all hope they will at least write something back. Keep you posted.
ArthurSpectatorMan, Billy is going to turn 41 soon. Why the costumes? It’s verging on disturbing now….[/quote:2o5zgmyq]
How old are you? 76? 86?Lisa:
