    These are the German dates.

    21.02.2008 München Olympiahalle
    22.02.2008 Frankfurt Jahrhunderthalle
    23.02.2008 Berlin Arena Treptow
    24.02.2008 Oberhausen König Pilsener Arena
    26.02.2008 Hamburg Color Line Arena

    Sven is referring to the private Pumpkins secret gig at my house, in the living. We promised to keep the date a bit secretive. :lol:

    Talking about the old days… dial up is sooooo… Nineties! :lol:

    In the meantime I found some old stuffs from 2003/2004 today, when I was cleaning my pc. This funny pic, which we spread around at that time (amongst others, but that’s for our 5 year anniversary next year :wink: ), reminded me our very first domain in 2003/2004 was not redwolf.nl, but darktech.org…

    If I was a millionaire I would toad32r… :lol: (I just love to meet the SPfreaks friends and have a fun Pumpkins day!)

    Seriously, this fair is quite something. They sometimes even called themselves the biggest fair in the world, but maybe that’s not true anymore. What we normally would do is divide the rows of stalls between the friends, take our mobiles and phone each other when we find something interesting for 1 of the other guys. All the stalls have a number, you get a map when you enter and then just call your friend(s) and shout "stall 241! Machina acetate! come check it out!" :lol: (and guys with a PDA type of mobile can also check SPfreaks.com on the spot to compare the finds with the website, pretty cool…)

    I found many many many rarities here over the years for 5-25 Euro, which will do way better on eBay… Not only Smashing Pumpkins, but also Man… Or Astroman, 16 Horsepower, System Of A Down, Mars Volta… lots. There will be sales awards, auctions, readings, bands playing, celebrities signing, huge amounts of vinyl, posters and rare Asian stuff like Minidiscs and Minicds… to much to mention. Heaven on earth indeed!

    Afterwards we will go & have dinner in 1 of the many pittoresque restaurants in the center of Utrecht (all on walking distance, and the center is like little Amsterdam, very beautiful) and compare the finds with each other. Truely an adrenaline-driven day, believe me… 8)

    Thanks BleedingTheOrchid, it has just been adjusted in the Tour & Recording History. It’s our good practice to leave the cancelled dates/locations there for future reference. On top of the Tracks Info section we provide extra info, visible after you clicked the date with the *.

    http://www.spfreaks.com/?page=TOURHISTO … locid=1040 for example.

    and for someone who’s a)completely devoted to SP and b) has spent a small/large fortune on SP related items, i’m somewhat surprised that you haven’t flown to, say, america just to see them. like during one of their residency stints? just a thought :P[/quote:1nrs8mfe]
    Yeah somehow you’re right… I still regret I never went to that last Metro concert in December 2000. Thing is I love going to Asia also for backpacking & mountain climbing in the Himalaya (but they never played there :wink: ) and that takes some budget also… And there’s another thingy also, I can’t stand big crowds anymore. I went to tons of concerts, festivals and rock shows in the old days, but I’m way more into the intimate shows now. Does it count when I say there’s no day passing by I’m not listening to Smashing Pumpkins? For my job I have to travel quite a lot by car, and my car is stuffed with Pumpkins songs, mainly live shows I downloaded. :lol: I just need my Pumpkins fix EVERY day (quote from Netphoria website :wink: )!

    Yeah I was surprised to hear how good she is now actually! Funny thing is also, I have Hand Of Doom already, a Black Sabbath tribute band CD. Melissa sings on it and I promised myself to keep an eye on her. Silly me, I forgot about it, and it’s a pleasant surprise to re-discover her! :D

    It’s on the floor, the picture was taken from the left side and rotated 90 degrees. This creates a strange effect as if the picture was taken alongside a wall

    What year did you fall in love with the Pumpkins?
    => I didn’t fall in love exactly. I was :shock: multiplied by an endless number. That was in 1995.

    Who is your favorite member of The Smashing Pumpkins?
    => Billy Corgan, no doubt. But he needs a great band around him, and he succeeds in that every time when he is working under the Pumpkins banner, just my opinion. Though Zwan wasn’t that bad either.

    What is your favorite lineup of the band?
    => I have loved them all, as long as Billy is there. (thanks to luxe, I agree more than 100% with this)

    What is your all time favorite album?
    => Siamese Dream. No doubt.

    What is your all time favorite song?
    => Soma. I want it to be played on my funeral.

    What is your all time favorite video?
    => Don’t have any.

    What is your favorite song from the album ‘Gish’?
    => I Am One. One of my life anthems.

    What is your favorite song from the album ‘Siamese Dream’?
    => Soma. I just freakin’ love every note of the album by the way.

    What is your favorite song from the album ‘Pisces Iscariot’?
    => Girl Named Sandoz.

    What is your favorite song from ‘Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness’?
    => It’s impossible to choose between Zero, Where Boys Fear To Tread, X.Y.U., Jellybelly, Bodies, Love & Fuck You. Let it be Zero then, as it came first on top of my mind.

    What is your favorite song from ‘Adore’?
    => Pug.

    What is your favorite song from ‘Machina: The Machines of God’?
    => Don’t have one, I’m not too much into this album.

    Machina 2?
    => In My Body.

    Favorite Zeitgeist song?
    => 7 Shades Of Black.

    What is your favorite b-side/rarity?
    => Marquis In Spades.

    What is your most prized Pumpkins possession?
    => Hard to say. RIAA Platinum US Sales Award for The Aeroplane Flies High box set? En Concierto En Mexico promo CD? Billy Corgan’s Mellon Collie gold acetates set, send by Howie Weinberg?

    Have you ever seen the Smashing Pumpkins in concert?
    => Yes, 4 times (1996, 1998, 2000 & 2007, all in The Netherlands).

    Have you seen the Zeitgeist tour? How many times?
    => Yes, 1 time (Pinkpop Festival).

    Have you ever seen Zwan in concert?
    => Yes, 1 time (Paradiso Amsterdam 2003, just 2 weeks before they broke up).

    Have you ever seen Billy Corgan solo in concert?
    => Yes, 1 time (Paradiso Amsterdam 2005).

    Have you ever met any members of the band?
    => No.

    How many Smashing Pumpkins CDs do you own?
    => 750-775, amongst them many compilations.

    How many Smashing Pumpkins boxed sets do you own?
    => The Aeroplane Flies High only.

    How many Smashing Pumpkins dvds do you own?
    => 5 official releases (3 of them being Vieuphoria, I love that release!) and numerous appearances on promo DVDs.

    How many Smashing Pumpkins t-shirts do you own?
    => 4 (plus 1 Billy Corgan solo shirt \"goggles\")

    How many Smashing Pumpkins posters do you own?
    => 15, and a framed pic of Billy Corgan during a 1991 Canadian concert, the best pic I have ever seen of Billy.

    Do you own ‘Mary, Star of the Sea’, by Zwan?
    => Yes, and it’s 2 CD singles.

    Do you own Billy Corgan’s solo album?
    => Yes, and it’s DVD single.

    => No. I don’t know A Perfect Circle that well.

    Have you read ‘Blinking With Fists’, by Billy Corgan?
    => No.

    Have you ever named a pet after a member of the band?
    => No.

    Have you ever named a pet after one of their songs?
    => No.

    Have you ever named your child after a member of the band?
    => No, as the family is still me and my girlfriend only.

    Have you ever named your child after one of their songs?
    => Obviously no again.

    Do you have any Smashing Pumpkins related tattoos?
    => No, all my tattoos are dragon related (and I want to keep it that way).

    Another little celebration with a 5:

    Recently we’ve added that many items to SPfreaks.com, we now have reached over 5,000 images on the whole Collection website! As we speak we are on 5,013. But believe me, it’s going to be tons more as there are still piles of CDs and other stuffs waiting to be uploaded!

    It looks like a pretty normal auction to me manillascissor. And why call it an unrealistic price when you paid almost 100 US$ more for the same item?

    \"Bid History

    eBay has changed how bid history information is displayed for higher-priced items. To help keep the eBay community safe, enhance bidder privacy, and protect our members from fraudulent emails, only you and the seller of the item can view your User ID in bid history. Other members will see anonymous names.\"

    That’s why the nicks appear as \"u***m\" and \"t***1\". Behind the *** is their real nick… Also based on the number of bidders, I would still call it a realistic auction.

    But you could still be right of course. I haven’t been bidding on those higher priced eBay auctions for a long while, so I’m not that much experienced anymore to see those patterns. The latest auction I just won last night is a promo compilation called \"Expand-O – Album Network CD Tune Up 16\" for 3 bucks only (I was the only bidder)… With the recent Euro-US$ exchange rates that’s close to nothing! :lol: So I’m very curious what eBay replies to your story!

    No. Read my lips. NO! 1 more time doing all this again and I will smash all my silver discs to the wall & sell this website to the My Chemical Romance fanclub. For 1 buck. Then I’ll commit suicide. :evil:

    (But instead you’re happily invited to photoshop it all together, and repost it here :wink: )

    and by the way, i just realised something. on your ‘adore’s they usually have black/no stickers saying ‘smashing pumpkins’. however, in some of the HMV’s i’ve vistited i’ve noticed that the sticker is a pale brown/creamy white colour, not black. my Adore has the black sticker and no, i’m not going to buy this different stickered version because i really need to keep my money for something else. i was just wondering if anyone else was aware of this, and if this little bit of info was useful? (i checked the collection, and have not found an Adore that has been stickered like this)[/quote:2ewt37ei]
