SuperlordspamulonSpectatorLike Phantoms, Forever.[/quote:1kfyi8ky]
This one, I presume.[/quote:1kfyi8ky]
Exactly.
Only 100 printed, and even then, not all of those got to the fans – the band kept copies, and gave close friends and relatives copies. I estimate (I don’t know why) around 80 are in the fans hands.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorDreams of stabbing only had Cubiles, Skylines and Bring More Knives (aka Our Lady Of Sorrows), confirmed. Apparently, some of the demo tapes they gave away had Vampires, although this hasn’t really been confirmed. Wish You Away was merely the original title to Drowning Lessons, nothing more.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorI don’t have Live and Rare (I plan to get it) nor do I have TBP special edition… nor do I have TBPID (I’m very poor). Which kinda sucks.
The rare stuff… there was just this period when all these rare vinyls came onto ebay, and my dad managed to snag some of them, which was awesome. Hah, when he showed me he had won them, I didn’t express much enthusiasm. Which sounds weird, but he showed me just before I left the house to see my then girlfriend, who I thought may be breaking up with me then. She didn’t though. She did three weeks later
SuperlordspamulonSpectator^ No. Fucking. Way. I didn’t even know you could actually find it online. I’ve been wanting that item since I knew it existed! I feel your pain x_x.[/quote:1vlw3641]
I found it completely by accident. It went like this: (dozing in bed) "Hmm… wouldn’t it be cool if LPF was on eBay? Haha, why don’t I check. As if
" (Checks eBay) "O.M.F.G. DAAAAAAD! I NEED YOUR CREDIT CARD!"
Well, except for the dramatization. Such as screaming for my dad.
It was actually about a year ago. I believe the seller was selling it to help pay some school fees or something. He included a poster he stole from the show where they gave it away, and some pics he took.
On a side note, which rare MCR items do you own? I’ve got all three of the early vinyl singles
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorSuperlord, what was that MCR item? I might have snipped it
. Nah, I’m just curious[/quote:362qtxmd]
Like Phantoms, Forever.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorMeh. Spongebob became a show for (or is at least ‘liked’ by) scene kids ages ago. I’m not totally surprised. They don’t exactly show music videos on there anymore.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorOr just sit in the aisle, when it’s dark and no-one’s looking at you
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorCAIC, get him to take pictures (NOT SCANS!) of said vinyl, holding a slip of paper with the date on it (in every pic), at different ranges (close enough/high quality/large enough to see tell-tale details but also so that it’s clearly the vinyl in question. Get him to put a jewel case near it to prove its scale. Then get him to do two new scans – on with the dated slip, one without.
Yeah, it’s paranoid and probably a little too much detail. But it might be important.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorI’ve been having a similar discussion on another forum, for an MCR fansite (theimmortalityproject.com)
It is an awesome fansite, offering huge numbers of downloads. But the girl who runs it has to pay ~$200 a month to keep it up, because of the downloads. And this is only a hobby/love for the band thing for her. At the end of every month, she’s always asking for donations, which is really sad
It’s was knocked offline for about 2 months recently. To be fair, her dad was in hospital, so she had other commitments. But as an example of what can happen, yeah, you need to watch out.
I think the amazon thing is a good idea. But all the main albums people have already (especially if they’re coming to this site) and amazon themselves rarely sell the rare stuff – it’s usually other sellers. So I don’t know if you’d get money like that.
Maybe, you should sell off rare, surplus SP items on ebay to raise money. Would work quite well, methinks
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorThemed playlists! Just compile a bunch of SP songs into a playlist centring around a personally chosen theme!
I think that’d be fun purely for allowing users to listen to SP, but with a distinct twist. Or something like that. Whatever, it’s fun.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatoreww, netphoria.
you have gone to the dark side Reggae.
if you want the pop ups to go away you have to pay them.[/quote:383peh67]
Or get a browser with a decent pop-up blocker?
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorDoes anyone know this "Steam" program that some games seem to require you to have to use?
Off the top of my head 3 of mine need it (Half Life 2, Counterstrike & Lost Planet).
I just do not understand this program at all, what is it for? What exactly is it doing?
I’m sort of venting right now, because I’m tired, its been a long day at work and I decided I’d unwind with a quick game of Lost Planet….Steam had other ideas, I’m not sure exactly what its doing, but it simply isn’t letting me play until its finished doing it, I don’t see why I should have to wait to play a game already installed on my laptop, if I was trying to play online I could understand the possible need for updates….but I’m not
Gah! It’s so frustrating, I don’t even have time to play it now![/quote:3ho219p2]Stream is essentially a content providing application from Valve. It allows you to buy and download games, helps distribute patches, and provides news and stuff, as well as acting as a score tracker and stuff. Think of it like iTunes, but for games. I don’t really use it (I don’t need to) but I understand it’s fairly useful.

SuperlordspamulonSpectatorI’m pretty sure there’s going to be a ‘series of tubes’ joke here somewhere, seeing as this topic is quickly derailing into non computer/internet savvy people.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorWell, this seems the right place to query – is this website trustworthy? http://www.verydistro.com
I’m considering buying something off of them, but having never heard of them before randomly finding out they have the item in question during a google search, I would really like to know their legitimacy.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorFunny enough, even in The Netherlands there are still many people that don’t dare to go buying on da net, let alone go to eBay.[/quote:31jzibty]
People who have no idea just how safe the internet can be, and believe all those ZOMFG!!!11!! horror stories in tabloid newspapers annoy me. Maybe because they’re the sort of people who don’t understand the importance of net neutrality. Ho-hum.
Once, I got out-bidded (or rather, my dad did on my behalf) on an extremely rare MCR item by a sniper. Of course, my dad was sniping too. But it kinda sucked a lot, because I doubt I’ll ever see that item again
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorI’ve played Portal too much – my sense of direction is pretty messed up. In that after a while, when looking at my monitor for a length of time, I feel like I’m looking down. From the ceiling. Whilst standing on the ground. It’s a little worrying.
But it doesn’t matter, because Portal is AWESOME.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorYeah, I heard of it. Refuses to work for me, but meh.
Now, who here’s played Portal?
Is it not one of the most brilliant games ever?!?
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorLast night I ordered something off of eBay – a (highly limited, apparently) reissue of Indian Summer’s ‘Science 1994’ (aka Discography) album. I got it for $16 (incl. P+P) which translates to £8 for me. I’m quite chuffed with that
Also, I downloaded and played the awesome game ‘Portal’. It’s awesome. Really, really awesome. A bit short, but awesome.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorBefore halfway that video I had to start wiping the monitor…

That’s why you should always keep a box of Kleenex handy
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorHas anyone else noticed that we have not once addressed philosophy or anything related in this thread yet, despite the title?
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorWhats Oblivion ?[/quote:3oodjen1]
It’s an RPG, I believe.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorGod, I posted it four days ago (at least!) and they only just allowed it through?!?
Ah well, thanks for the feedback/compliments.
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorNone of the pointless forums get spammed
[/quote:3ksava0m]
this is incorrect. some forums have died years ago and are still spammed to death. spam is the only action they get.[/quote:3ksava0m]Presumably they were big enough initially to warrant the attention of the spambots. Therefore, I’m not giving up on my hypothesis yet
SuperlordspamulonSpectatorso people sign up to spam on here? seriously?
Whoa that is pathetic…[/quote:1uwoz9i4]They’re spam-bots, presumably. Programs designed to automatically sign up to forums and create topics, in the off chance of generating revenue, or possibly infecting people with viruses.
