Yeah hopefully… I tried to read the SP forum about this topic, but they are all guessing and gossiping… no real news. But to me also the most frustrating part is that there are no details announced. I mean, it’s so easy to tell us all "because he wants to spend more time with his family, which the band fully supports and respects" or something. Now, after the 20th Anniversary Tour, plans for new music, the SP Archive being unlocked, so many nice things to work on in the future, and Jimmy just… leaves? He said in a few interviews that SP is here to stay! WTF is going on here?Yeah, and what will todays news mean to the SP subscription?

I’m quite sure that will not be effected. Billy will, partly, depend on it for his income I guess…I advice everybody not to buy these…

What just crossed my mind… The message of Jimmy leaving is brought to us… just like that. No reasons given, no further explanation, no background. I think that is not nice. To say the least. But I don’t know what to think of it. Was there a fight? Financial troubles? Family troubles? Drugs troubles? Jimmy wanting to pick up his solo career again? No official statements… It sux.
i will still be here too. we are friends now and the music will still be here even if the band is not. i like talking to you guys and gals

Roger that. And work on the online SP collection is never over also, so I will be around too. Besides, Billy Corgan will still record music under the name Smashing Pumpkins I presume. I don’t know what to say… I’m VERY VERY sad!

Maybe, maybe not. For digital only releases I think it stinks, as it are "only" unreleased b-sides and other stuffs that were not worthwhile putting on any album or EP or b-sides compilation. All those albums with their songs on it were properly mastered and promoted and all, and are available for 99 cents per song/download. Those new songs to be released will cost US$ 1.50 each, and I really wonder if they will be properly mastered and all. You get the picture…But for me it’s not the money really, as for good songs from my favourite band I’m willing to pay good bucks, if it is something exclusive/rare. But I’m not going to pay anything for a fukken download I cannot hold in my hand, that is not released with some proper artwork and all! So I really hope they will do the same as with the 20th Anniversary Tour: released on FLAC/MP3 and CD.
How can you say that about Blank Page Arthur? Shame on you grannie, shame on you, this is my fav song.

LOL!Yeah well, Tear, my other fav. made it anyway. For Martha and Blank Page… are so so. I mean, they are good songs, but they don’t attract me that much, especially not Blank Page. When I hear that song, I’m like: OK, now grab that guitar again and start rocking my socks off! Get on with it!
