I paid $411 for my copy (still w/i the Reflex mag). Very steep, but oh well. I like it. :D[/quote:3cwsl7sz] i think my friends would have a heart attack if they saw this post. they can’t believe that i’d spend £2 on a single, how would they react to someone paying $411 for a single song and a mag?

they’d just tell you to download the song.

my friends have no collectors sense.[/quote:3cwsl7sz]
Tons of people will consider collectors to be nerds. Deep inside most of them are just jealous, but they don’t want to admit that. This place (SPfreaks) was created to support the nerds. It’s cool to be a collecting nerd.

And the people admitting they are jealous get respect and help with collecting here.

PS that Daughter flexi is still under 60 US$. I’m very curious if it will reach 400 US$ or the likes.

Actually I have never seen one of those flexi’s from up close, but I heard collectors say it’s better not to play it. It is not that firm and solid. It is highly sought after however, as it is extremely rare. This auction includes the magazine with the flexi still fixed inside, so I presume it’s in pristine condition, and worth a buck or two.

how did you find that one? Is that pic recent?[/quote:2wnw5u9z]
Very recent. It comes from the Netherworld Haunted House Atlanta website.

    http://www.fearworld.com/

Obviously Billy Corgan paid them a visit being there now anyway, having time to kill while Jimmy is being hospitalized for several days in Atlanta.

    Another member quote from SP.com:

\"The Project 961 people were parked behind us and told us what happened before we even got around the corner to the Fox. They said to check their site for updates…so, since there hasn’t been an update here, I thought I’d cut-n-paste this info for anyone who doesn’t know this news. The implication seems to be that the TX and TN shows may also not be happening as scheduled…

\"By doctors’ orders, Chamberlin will rest for the next 7 days. We expect for new show dates to be announced in the next couple of days, with the performance dates to happen within the next month…Regarding November 7 at The Classic Center Theater – Athens: The Classic Center Theater show will play as scheduled. This will be the band’s first performance after this short break.\"\"

Sad news anyway, both for the fans like you, not being able to see them play, but most of all for Jimmy. Even a non-religious person like me is praying for his well-being now. Get well soon Jimmy!

To be honest, news like this scares the shit out of me. Since the cancel/postpone announcement I have been doing F5 on the SP site for hours already. And \"chest discomfort\" doesn’t make me happy either. I’m not in a fun mood about this at all.

    Fingers crossed…

Update, official announcement from SP.com a few minutes ago:

Chamberlin will rest at the hospital tonight and is expected to be released Wednesday.

Information about Wednesday’s show in Atlanta is TBA–updates for ticketholders will be made available as soon as possible.\"

It’s a UK subway poster, rather widely available still. MonteLDS has 1 also if I’m right, but it could be a smaller version also. The frame is actually about ten times the price of the poster. But yeah, it’s huge, quite an eyecatcher in the hallway now. My girlfriend suggested we should have a special Smashing Pumpkins music room when we move to another house in 2008/2009!

My most precious things on the pic are actually quite small, it are the 2 smaller posters on top of the b/w TAFH poster. On the right a priceless 1991 Cabaret Metro poster ( http://www.spfreaks.com/Default.aspx?pa … &item=1032 ), on the left an astonishing beautiful, numbered (2/3) pic of Billy Corgan during a 1991 Canadian concert. It’s the most awesome pic of Billy I have ever seen. And I’m kinda proud of the 2 sales awards also of course, especially the TAFH one. And I just have to mention the b/w framed Metro ad (taken from a Chicago newspaper) on the left back side also, about the Metro thanking SP for 13 incredible years in 2000. It’s got a sky-high emotional value.

When will we see pics of your collection Cool As Ice Cream? Same for Sven, jgfox, manillascissor, toad32r and others? I’m sure they will be just awesome also, and will beat my pic hands down. 8)

Though it reached a pretty nice 455 US$ at the end of the auction (due to withdrawn bids, as it reached 710 US$ before), it was relisted.

My final reaction to this subject here:

Every topic can be discussed on the SPfreaks Forum, and as many times people like. When people that are collecting Smashing Pumpkins releases start threads about the new Zeitgeist DVD more than 1 time, but always from a (slightly) different angle, we are just fine with it. Go ahead, and have fun. Same for the subjects around the bandmembers lovelife, when it is public info anyway. But… Always with respect to the people we are talking about, as they are just as human as we all are. Anyhow, it’s free to post any topics on the proper forum (we got 5 here, for different subjects), and it’s free to reply (or not).

The rules of how we members treat each other here on the boards have been made very clear already a few times, and just shouting \"something\" like YESH did, has nothing to do with a mature and respectful discussion. Off you go YESH. The other SPfreaks webmaster was 100% right to delete this new member. I happen to know a forum where his attitude is probably more in place, and it’s certainly not this one.

We are, of course, not afraid of bad words. \"I wished Billy said Fuck You to Reprise Records\" could be a reply somewhere in a thread. \"Fuck You (for posting this topic)\" on the other hand will not be tolerated. Strong opinions like \"Do you really think it makes sense to post about this subject over and over again? I strongly do not think so. You should leave it.\" are far more appropriate.

    Happy posting guys :P

Since about 20 hours ThePumpkins.net is back online.

I’m going to be very critical about this, as the site is slow as ever, and only with some little changes to the forum (based on a quick look), and with loss of the funny smileys on there. No messages at all to the 1,000s of members, not before, nor after this long period. This is not the way how you treat people. Sorry Murder, just my humble opinion.

For the rest I’m very happy they’re back of course. After all it is a site that couldn’t be missed for tons of users.

Some info on the silver Zeitgeist, taken from MySpace:

Zeitgeist re-release at Best Buy on Tuesday October 30th

The Smashing Pumpkins’ Zeitgeist will be re-released and packaged with a full-length DVD documentary titled Inside The Zeitgeist. Also included on the disc are 3 bonus tracks, included an un-released song titled Ma Belle. The other songs included are Stellar and Death From Above.

This special version of Zeitgeist features an all new metallic silver color scheme as well.

The Zeitgeist re-release will be sold exclusively at Best Buy stores and can be pre-ordered here:

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp … id=1766267

(PS I ordered my copy somewhere else for a slightly higher price (mainly because of shipment costs), just to ensure faster shipment. It should be here in Europe very soon now, maybe I can beat you guys now with the scans/info 8) )

Yeah, it doesn’t quite suit my voice (yet anyways), but it was fun to practice. Have you listened to the ‘Something to Talk About’ demo yet? Some people really like that one, guess it’s a bit easier for me.

    Kit’n[/quote:1xut4qmr]
You will always put your best voice to the style of singing you like the most… Like I told you before, that Anouk song was only meant to teach your voice, and then return to the "more softer" songs, which suit your voice indeed a bit more (so far). I was hoping that by daring to try this Anouk song, it would make you less shy in general. Becoming the next Anouk, no way. :P

Yep, that other demo is pretty good also. Personally I’m not a fan of that type of music, but that doesn’t matter. The song goes well with your voice, that’s far more important. Hey, I hope you find a band soon, to practice with mics and equipment and so in, and to stay in tune with the other members playing instruments. It’s gonna be the next level. What’s the news on that part so far?

    Good luck Kit’n!
