I’m quite sure it is nothing serious, but on sp.com I found an old July 2007 post between the different Zeitgeist color pics, it doesn’t look like a fan posted something. Here is Zeitgeist Silver.

Welcome Misty (countrygal_cc) on this board! Hope you’ll sail this Smashing Pumpkins ship with us for a while, and that you’re having fun being here. See you around!

(how could you not know about this??? dude! it’s the psycho tape! did you drop out of pumpkins school? :( )[/quote:1u85lor0]
Nope, I just entered it. :P Seriously this is true. I was an official silver disc release collector my whole life, never interested in this weird stuff. It is since a little while that I catch up, mainly for the comprehensiveness of the SPfreaks website. Let me tell you Cool As Ice Cream, er gaat een wereld voor me open. Or as they say in your part of this non-virtual world "c’est un monde grande qui s’ouvre pour moi." :D (I’m sure you can correct this to more proper French)

No not yet BleedingTheOrchid, but I’m sure it’s there when there is a promo release. Meanwhile I can confirm another Zeitgeist: Manufactured in Singapore. I just received a sms from my girlfriend, that she bought me a copy. Lucky me, having a girlfriend that travels all over the world for her job. 8)

I put this in the Collection in the new section DVD’s (Non-Official). I will try to look into this a bit more later, as I want to see/own the best source of this first, and I guess many of you also. The torrent to download The Psycho Tape is available here:

    http://zombtracker.the-zomb.com/details.php?id=2625

I have just started downloading, who’s going to help? Here’s the upload in the Collection already:

    Menu info:
Well, this is the first menu that i have made for a dvd, so don’t be too critical. There are some errors in the menu (the select chapter page appears to pick a random chapter to select, but this doesn’t affect the playing). The menu was rendered with the trial version of dvd-lab pro.

    Video info:
Yes this could have been released as just a divx (the video is kinda blocky), but i received it as a dvd, so i kept it as such. The video stream was also very tricky to work with, it was aparently damaged on the disc so i had to reencode it. The video bitrate was the same and i didn’t touch the audio at all.

    Source info:
As i said, the source of this is unknown. The person i got it from wants to remain anonymous as well. From the looks of the quality, it is a high gen tape (but very watchable).

    Alt Sources:
Yes i have done research and found out that there is a 2 disc version of The Psycho Tape out there. It contains no additional footage, it is just higher quality. As i doubt i will ever get that version, this one will have to do for now.

    Release Info:
Well here it is, the infamous \"Psycho Tape\" in all its glory. I really hope that you guys all like it as i worked hard on getting this out (i am really sick of watching it now too… thanks!!!).

Hm interesting! Still I don’t think they would do that in a video, switching jaws from 1 person to the other. And I happen to like that pic of Ginger as she looks… cold. In a cool way. And those lips make me just melt.

I can announce a purple Zeitgeist promo (the one with Zeitgeist as a bonustrack). It was confirmed to me personally by email. However the dealer on eBay took it away from his auction list before I could bid. Hopefully he will get back to me soon.

I took the South Africa and Taiwan away from the unconfirmed list.

    miss Grey: "Sure! *giggles*"

IMBD guy: "Have you finished miss Grey? Ah yes… But… I see you’re married to mr Billy Corgan? Huh? But that’s not tr… Oh miss Grey, what are you doing now? But miss Grey, I’m married and… uhmmm… wait let me close the door first!"

IMDB guy: "*while zipping his jeans* Wow… You’re good… Well, I guess I have nothing to ask anymore miss Grey, and I’ll make sure our most stupid newbie will type it in to our website. Thanks for your services miss Grey."
miss Grey: "The pleasure was all mine mister *giggles again*."

I didn’t realize TW was part of China. Wonder why TW makes official releases and the big guy, China, does not. Very strange. That would be like the US making boots and Puerto Rico having official releases. Doesn’t make much sense.[/quote:2wui23m5]
True. Related to this subject I received an email just now from my girlfriend that happens to be in China for her job as we speak. Read what her experiences are, quite interesting:

"This supplier hospitally is so good that they show us around Dongguan city for a bit and I went to every CD shops that I could find and finally I found Smashing Pumpkins – Zeitgeist. But unfortunately it’s a bootleg. Here in China, it’s hard to get an original copy as there are a huge market for immitate stuffs (at least that’s what my supplier told me – which I think is true as they are way cheaper in price). Anyway I get you a copy. You can burn it or make it as a coster if you like or even as a mirror :P ."

I showed my contact in Taiwan this topic and he responded like this.

    \"Hi Arthur,

I love to explain relationship between Taiwan and China mainland on your forum, but unfortunately, my English writing ability is not good enough. :(

We call ourself ‘Republic of China’ (ROC), but nobody knows ROC except us, as for Taiwan, when I backpacked travelled in Europe years ago, people asked me where I’m from, they always said ‘Yeah, Thailand! I know’ when I replied I’m from Taiwan.

Anyway, please check the link if you’re interested in knowing a bit more about Taiwan,

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taiwan
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taiwan_under_Dutch_rule

I cannot call myself SP fan, but I like their music.

Attached pics are scanned from a 300-page book talking about altenative music published in 2000. Meanwhile, I have some Taiwan magazines, perhaps there’re some other articles, if I find something related to SP, I’ll email you. As for Stigmata, I have another brand new sealed copy as attached pics.

    Regards,
    Ed\"

Though I tried to convince Ed that his English is perfect for our board with some other Asians posting too, he wishes to stay a bit in the shade. Respect Ed! Meanwhile you can read his linked info about Taiwan/China.

(by the way, have you noticed that there are like 40-50 members here, but only about 10 are/beggining to be regular posters? )[/quote:3dx232hc]
Yeah, kinda normal behaviour I guess when I look around on other boards. Almost all boards have statistics when you look around a bit, and for example ThePumpkins.net has over 3,000 members, but only a few dozen of them are regular posters, tons of them hop by every now and then. The biggest group however is the non-members (or "lurkers"), they only browse around to read the posts. I’m sure we as SPfreaks Forum are no different in that and have the same type of visitors of all kinds, in approximately the same percentages somehow as other boards.

Maybe there is a tiny difference however, but i cannot fully judge that: the fake & spam accounts. We have a strict policy for that, they got deleted the same or next day and next to that they are being mailbanned or even ip-address banned. That’s why this forum is very clean of spam messages. But I couldn’t tell if other boards just ban them only and don’t delete the accounts afterwards, just to "pump up" the number of members. We are not doing that anyway. Besides that we have the policy that every member with 0 posts will be deleted after 6 months.

At the moment however, less then 3 months after we started and 51 members as we speak, and 30-35 regular and occasional posters, while there are at least 5-10 other active Smashing Pumpkins boards… I’m actually kinda proud in a humble way of us SPfreaks, of both the team and the members and the contributors. 8)
