    Yeah, it’s not natural…

Anyway who has played MGS4 should recognize the similarities between the Gecko and that thing. THAT is why it scares me. That and it seems strangely alive, yet very mechanical.

Yeah, I’ve been hearing quite a bit about this – it’s been doing the internet rounds very quickly, recently.

I still think this video deserves a ‘wtf?!?’ reaction more, as well as a sense of acute dread.

Jeez Arthur, that sounded like an official press release from a PLC after one of its board members has said something that could be potentially viewed as racist. It sounded like you were reassuring shareholders!

If people didn’t get that you were joking, they wouldn’t be spelling things correctly (or rather, would be spelling things incorrectly on purpose).

So yeah, we understand, you don’t have to sound so formal and official if you feel the need to reassure!

Now, that sounded quite critical and vaguely harsh, so I would like to preemptively respond to these allegations with: ‘boobs’.

I’ve decided to do 50 sit ups a day, starting from 5 minutes ago. My belly hurts now :(

Arthur, it was never like that, let’s be honest.

And if the ‘newbies’ want to check on what we got up to back in the day, just look back at the old topics. Not too hard.

It’s a shame bleedingtheorchid will never come back… he still is one of the top posters

That’s… ambitious to say the least.

    The thing is, I haven’t played MGS4 for weeks…

in reply to: Your most fucked up dream…. #20941

Not my strangest dream, but my dream last night was weird. It is so hard to explain, but I remeber the last part – I was Solid Snake (I had the octocamo, but wasn’t old) and was sneaking into some compound. There were a bunch of rolling things that were kind of a cross of the Scarabs in MGS4 and the gun platforms in Portal. One of them was apparently GLaDOS. But yeah, I got spotted, got tricked into going into a room as I was escaping. and got caught. I was then taken outside, where I had to fight a bunch of people and I was using the back of a truck for cover. The people included Vulcan Raven (who had his minigun as a fixed gun emplacement) and some woman who I seemed to recognize, but can’t for the life of me place her… I think she must have been a human version of GLaDOS.

    I woke up physically exhausted.

Well, what are you looking for?

    Cute? Colourful? Dark? Epic? Funny?

    :D

My Indian Summer CD arrived just now! I’m so happy!

I’s so awesome… No jewel case at all. It came in a cardboard box with stuff printed on it, inside was some info on the tracks and a small little slip of paper with some sort of badly photographed fork printed on it and the words ‘Indian Summer’, with the CD inside.

And the songs sound awesome, compare to the mp3’s of them I had before. If anyone’s interested, I’m gonna torrent this a bit later at 320kbps mp3.

    1. Boat.
    2. Solar powered/charged GPS system.
    3. Dummies guide to boat sailing.

    Seriously though:
    1. Swiss army knife – useful little tools.
    2. Machete/Hunting knife. Useful for killing stuff and chopping hard stuff.
    3. A huge mirror. For reflecting and stuff. Also, to help ease me into insanity through lack of real company and easiness of talking to self.

    ^ And anime, and movies.

It’s wrong, illegal and the pure reflection of what lazy asses our society is becoming. But it’s awesome.[/quote:w3y9vewa]

Illegal maybe. Lazy… how? Awesome yes.

I’m only on there watching TV shows anyway. I mean, I’m not going to wait a week for the next re-run of an old show when I could just stream it online! I mean, seriously. Why would you wait when you don’t have to?

    So you want entertainment?

Screw the debate on the modern music industry and the instant-microwave roast dinner for three state of the world, I WILL SHOW YOU A GOOD TIME THAT DOES NOT INVOLVE LEAVING YOUR COMPUTER!

Lots of TV, streamed. And I mean lots. Entire series.

I saw The Dark Knight yesterday.

Let’s put it this way, if I ever became an insane criminal, I would want to be the Joker.

I personally hope that one of the b-sides to this single is Superchrist, simply because I don’t have a hard copy of that song :)

    I disagree, purely through experience.

He may throw in a couple of ideas along the way, throw in his own designs, but he can’t win. That was how it was in the old comps.

Thank god for Kerrang! TV and Scuzz. The closest thing they get to to airing shows and not music videos is a timeframe where they’ll air videos around a theme – an hour slot for 21st century songs, 30 minutes for Green Day videos only, etc.

Pretty awesome, except it’s usually incredibly popular rock songs most of the time. Well, to be fair, they have got to make money.

    Hell, nobody even presents them.

Well, I assume you’re not a gamer then, Arthur. Because you can pretty much kiss games goodbye with Linux. However, I think there is a program that allows you to run windows games, but I’m not sure.

But yeah, Linux… I’m not sure to be honest. It confuses me too much and demands too much from me.

However, it does let you do this

in reply to: New SPfreaks Contest: Taking Ideas #20834

Wait, Arthur – is that a suggestion, or the final comp?

in reply to: New SPfreaks Contest: Taking Ideas #20829

By the way, I meant playlist as in iPod playlist, in case you misunderstood. But themed of course, around a central idea, sound or era, for example.

Cool. I’ll keep it in mind.

Also, what ‘tricks’ are these you mentioned, Arthur?
